Located on the seafront, overlooking a cove in La Ametlla de Mar, the project draws inspiration from the essence of the Mediterranean, capturing the sea breeze and the murmur of the waves that envelop this privileged location.

The house opens toward the east, maximizing sea views with large openings that flood the interior spaces with natural light. On the southern side, where privacy is essential, patios, walls, porches, and louvers are integrated to balance sunlight, views, and privacy with the neighboring environment.

The facade combines a dry stone base on the ground floor with a continuous cladding on the upper floor, using lime mortars that add texture and visual richness. The earthy tones blend with the coastal landscape, while the wooden louvers and pergolas allow for light control and privacy, maintaining a connection with the natural surroundings.

The exterior design invites you to enjoy the sun and shade with strategically planned areas, from pergolas to stone walls that define the outdoor spaces. The garden is adorned with crushed stones and native plants, creating a typical Mediterranean ambiance that integrates perfectly with the house.

Access to the garage and study rooms in the basement is from the north side, facilitating discreet entry. On the first floor, the bedrooms and the open-plan living-dining-kitchen space open onto the pool and panoramic views through a large slider that seamlessly connects the interior and exterior. The second floor houses the master bedroom, which opens onto a private terrace through a pre-living room, accompanied by a dressing room and bathroom offering comfort and spectacular views.

MAXIMIZATION OF OVERHANGS AND FACADE PROTECTION

Although the building footprint was quite limited by regulations, the project aims to extend its overhangs as much as possible, even if they are hollow, to protect the facades and emphasize the horizontality of its forms. The metal roof structure allows for these large covers with minimal lower supports.
